The Chrysanthemum cocktail first appeared in Recipes for Mixed Drinks in 1916 by Hugo Ensslin, though credit is often given to Harry Craddock with his publishing of the cocktail in his book Savoy Cocktail Book. Ensslin shows his understanding for well balanced cocktails with this drink.

1 oz. Benedictine
Absinthe Rinse
