Gin Fizz

This Tom Collins without ice became popular in the first half of the 20th century. It’s hometown is New Orleans where many variations were invented. First written about in 1887 by Jerry Thomas, this is one of several expressions of a fizz style drink.


2 oz Gin
1 oz lemon Juice
0.5 oz simple syrup
Garnish: lemon zest
Prep: Shake everything except the soda. Strain without ice into a chilled fizz glass and top with soda. Stir to incorporate and garnish.
