Eddie Woelke dedicated this cocktail to Mary Pickford, wife of Douglas Fairbanks, at the Jockey Bar in Havana, Cuba sometime in the early 1920s. Prohibition caused many great American bartenders to flee the U.S., many of whom landed in Cuba and Europe.
