Created by Sam Ross of Milk and Honey in 2009. Many people have adopted this same style of cocktail with tequila, gin, and rum.
2 oz blended scotch whisky
0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
0.75 oz ginger/honey syrup
1 spritz Islay Scotch
Garnish: candied ginger or lemon twist
Prep: shake and strain over ice.
