Pisco Sour

Victor Morris was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and in 1903 he moved to Lima, Peru for work as a cashier. On April 1st, 1916 Morris’ Bar opened to the public and the first written reference to a Pisco Sour is actually found in an advert for his bar in 1924. Many of the bartenders from Morris’ Bar went on the spread the cocktail around the country and it soon became a national drink. In 1929 Morris’ Bar closed after 13 years in operation and he died shortly after. The cocktail is made the same today as it was then, and is a fantastic eye-opener.

2 oz Pisco
1 oz lemon juice
1 oz simple syrup
1 egg white
Garnish: Angostura Bitters
Prep: Shake, strain, and garnish.
